At STEM Girl Tutors, student safety is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a learning environment—online or in person—that is respectful, supportive, and secure for every student.
1. Safe Tutoring Environment
All tutoring sessions are conducted in professional settings, either through Zoom or at mutually agreed locations such as libraries or campus study areas. Tutors will not meet students in private residences or inappropriate environments.
2. Professional Behavior
Our tutors maintain professional boundaries and communication at all times. We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct of any kind.
3. Privacy & Confidentiality
We safeguard all student information, academic records, and personal communication. Sensitive information is shared only with parents/guardians (for minors) or the student directly.
4. Online Safety
For online sessions, students should be in a safe, public or supervised environment. We encourage parents/guardians of minors to be aware of session times and to monitor their child’s use of digital platforms.

📘 Code of Conduct

To ensure a positive and productive learning experience, all students, parents, and tutors agree to the following Code of Conduct.
1. Respectful Communication
Students and tutors will speak and interact respectfully at all times—whether in person, online, or through messages. Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory language is strictly prohibited.
2. Preparedness & Participation
Students agree to:
Arrive on time
Bring required materials
Be engaged and ready to learn
Communicate openly about challenges
Tutors agree to:
Arrive fully prepared
Tailor instruction to the student’s needs
Provide supportive, clear explanations
Maintain professionalism in all interactions
3. Appropriate Behavior
Inappropriate, offensive, or disruptive behavior is not permitted. This includes language or actions that create discomfort or interfere with learning.
4. Academic Integrity
Tutors will not complete homework, exams, or assignments for students. Instead, we guide students to understand and complete their work independently. Students agree to uphold honesty in all academic work.
5. Technology Use
Students should use Zoom and online tools responsibly. All Zoom sessions will be recorded and stored digitally for 12 months.
6. Safety & Boundaries
Both students and tutors agree to maintain healthy boundaries. Physical meetups must occur in appropriate public environments. No tutor will meet a student in their private residence.
7. Cancellations & Attendance
Students should give at least 24 hours notice for cancellations whenever possible. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may affect scheduling availability.
8. Consequences for Violations
STEM Girl Tutors reserves the right to pause or discontinue tutoring services if a student or tutor violates these guidelines.
